「入学式にゅうがくしき」ってなに？いつやるの？

子こどもの成長せいちょうを　お祝いわいし　応援おうえんする　セレモニーです。

4月がつのはじめ、学校がっこうに通かよう最初さいしょの日ひにあります。（2月がつころ、おしらせがあります。）

1年生の子ねんせい　こどもと、ママ・パパが行いきます。

学校の門がっこう　もんや、桜の木さくら　きと写真しゃしんをとるのが人気にんきです。

どこでやる？

学校がっこうのなかの、広い部屋ひろ　　へやでやります。体育館たいいくかんでやることもおおいです。

なにをやる？

生徒、先生、保護者せいと　せんせい　ほごしゃや地域の人ちいき　ひとが集あつまり、お祝いわいのセレモニーをします。

だいたい、こういうことをやります。時間じかんは1時間じかんくらいが多おおいです。

• ごあいさつ
• 先生せんせいのお話はなし（お祝いわいのスピーチ）
• 来賓のお話らいひん　　はなし（地域の人ちいき　ひとからの　お祝いわいのスピーチ）
• 担任の先生の紹介たんにん　せんせい　しょうかい　
• 学校の歌の紹介がっこう　うた　しょうかい（だいたいの学校がっこうにはオリジナルの歌うたがあります）
• 記念撮影きねんさつえい（みんなで写真しゃしんをとります）

なにをきる（服装ふくそう）？

• 制服せいふくがあるばあい、子こどもは制服を着せいふく　きます。制服せいふくがない場合ばあいは少すこしフォーマルな服ふくを着きます。
• 大人おとなも少すこしおしゃれをして　いきます。

ママはワンピースやジャケット、パパはビジネススーツが多おおいです。
コサージュをつけて、華はなやかにするひともいます。
ママの服の色は、白しろっぽい色いろやピンク、紺色こんいろが多おおいです。パパは紺色こんいろやグレーが多おおいです。

When and What is "Nyugaku-shiki"?

It is a ceremony to celebrate the growth and new life of the children.

It is held in the beginning of April, on the first day of the school year. (Parents should receive the information in February.)

Not only children of the 1st. grade, but also parents will participate in the ceremony.
It is popular to take pictures beside the school gate and under the cherry blossom trees.

Where Will it be Held?

It will be held in a large room in a school.

Often, it is held in their gymnasium.

What Do We Do?

Students, teachers, parents, and community members gather for a celebration ceremony.

This is what we usually do, and it usually takes about an hour.

• Greetings
• Teacher's talk (congratulatory speech)
• Speech by the guest of honor (congratulatory speech by a member of the community)
• Introduction of the homeroom teachers　
• Introduction of the school song (most schools have their own original songs)
• Congratulatory speeches from the elder students
• Commemorative photo (everyone takes a photo together)

What To Wear?

If the school has uniform, the children will wear the uniform.

If the school does not have a uniform, the children will wear something a little formal.

Adults also dress up a little.

Moms often wear dresses and jackets, while dads wear business suits.

These are some "typical" outfits of moms at nyuen-shiki.  
It is not that we must dress this way, however, we heard that some foreign moms were surprised and felt uncomfortable when they found out they were a bit "different" in the way they dressed for nyu-gakushiki.  
So we are sharing these pics as examples.
Many moms choose a flower brooch for a quick dress-up.
